As a Licensed Professional Counselor my goal is to help you reach your goals. I have a Master's in Christian Counseling and Ph.D. in Counseling Education and Supervision from Liberty University. I am also am Nationally Board Certified. If you are struggling with issues that may not fall into these specialties, but are still struggling or struggling to find someone to help, please call reach out. If I am unable to help, I will help you find someone who can help you.

My Masters of Education in Clinical Mental Health has helped me develop skills in group and individual counseling. As a current educator, my commitment is to work with individuals, from all backgrounds, gain skills that will allow them to live their most healthy and one's authentic self. I can provide assistance with:

I am currently a graduate student at Lamar University. I am in the Marriage, Couple, and Family Counseling Master’s Program. I am working towards obtaining my credentials to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. My prior experience in counseling includes working with students and families in the educational arena as a School Counselor at an elementary campus.

Maricela Escamilla, MS, LPC-Associate (TX), CSC

Are you looking for a friendly, compassionate, and non-judgmental counselor to help you navigate through life's ups and downs? I believe growth and personal change happens within a warm, non-judgmental, and supportive relationship. I will walk alongside you as you gain awareness and insights, enabling you to find clarity and hope. I will include mindfulness and therapeutic activities specific to your unique needs and goals.

My educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Science in Counseling from the University of Houston at Clear Lake. I have worked in education for nearly 20 years as a former teacher and certified school counselor at a high-needs Title 1 school. I served as the 504 coordinator and a Level 1 certified trauma practitioner. I am an advocate for mental health awareness in schools, and I currently serve as a district Behavioral Health Specialist. I am an LPC-Associate under the supervision of Dr. Angela Waggoner.
